From the WTF Watch Desk: Kaitlyn “KK” Gallagher died after a tree struck the UTV she occupied during initial attack on the Broken Creek Fire in Louisiana's Kisatchie National Forest on October 14. The Wildland Fire Lessons Learned Center has posted the official 24-hour and 72-hour reports.
Why this deserves the fire service’s attention
Firefighter WTF honors Gallagher and points readers to the official incident record and family-and-crew support information; the review should be allowed to establish the facts without speculation or blame.
